A playful moment in front of Amazing by Mel Bochner.

This spacious family home didn’t need a lot of modifications, because it already had a great layout including several large outdoor terraces overlooking New York’s historic Greenwich Village. We updated the main terrace with larger sliding doors for easy access, then worked to add layers of playful furnishings featuring plenty of color and texture. Art curated by Liz Parks of Parks Art Advisory added splashes of vibrancy to the neutral spaces, like the Quatre Lithographies by Willem de Kooning that anchor the living room. A small swing underneath the staircase reflects the home’s joyful nature, which continues with cozy, imaginative bedrooms for the children.
Color Notes by Spencer Finch fills the stairs.
