Penthouse Renovation — Architecture & Interior Design

Indoor-outdoor living isn’t something we get to address often enough when designing in New York City. But in the case of this Tribeca penthouse and its grand terrace with sweeping views of Manhattan, it made perfect sense. Our clients were looking for a California-inspired feel, so we expanded the interior and kept the palette calm and neutral with strong pops of green. The kitchen was relocated to the front of the apartment, and we installed large sliding doors to flood the living space with natural light. Outside, there’s a plethora of space—ample areas for cooking and entertaining, but also smaller, carefully considered zones tucked away within the greenery. We added a cozy dining nook underneath a pergola surrounded by planters, a play area with a plunge pool for the kids, and even a spot to curl up and watch movies via projector. It was a massive transformation, and the end result is cool, comfortable living at its finest.
